Estée Lauder Names WPP Media Its First Global Media Partner

The Estée Lauder Companies has appointed WPP Media as its first global media partner, consolidating media buying across its portfolio of brands into a single, enterprise-led system powered by data and AI.

The move completes a key part of the company’s “One ELC” operating model, shifting away from a fragmented regional agency structure toward a unified global approach. Brands covered include Estée Lauder, Clinique, MAC Cosmetics, La Mer and others.

CEO Stéphane de La Faverie said the appointment means the One ELC model is now fully established. “This more unified and scalable system will enable us to be faster, more agile and efficient, and support unlocking additional growth,” he stated.

Chief Digital and Marketing Officer Aude Gandon added that the company is building a connected, AI-enabled media system that brings brand building and performance together at global scale. Partnering with WPP is intended to improve precision, speed and measurable returns while keeping creativity central.

The partnership is part of Estée Lauder’s broader Profit Recovery and Growth Plan and Beauty Reimagined initiative. It follows a period in which the company sought to streamline operations after slower sales growth.
