Omnicom is retiring the DDB, FCB and MullenLowe brands as part of the integration following its acquisition of Interpublic Group.
Under the new structure the global creative networks will be BBDO, McCann and TBWA. FCB is being folded into BBDO, while DDB and MullenLowe are being absorbed into TBWA. The three retired brands no longer appear in Omnicom’s creative structure. A group of creative boutiques continues to operate alongside the three global networks.
The company has also indicated it will cut more than 4,000 jobs as part of the post-merger integration, targeting at least $750 million in annual cost savings. Media operations are being consolidated under a single Omnicom Media organisation that includes both Omnicom and former IPG agencies.
CEO John Wren has said the combined group will give clients access to advanced AI tools and the Omni platform. The restructuring is intended to simplify the organisation and focus resources on scale, data and technology rather than maintaining multiple overlapping networks.
