WPP Names Tyler Turnbull CEO of WPP Creative

WPP has appointed Tyler Turnbull as CEO of WPP Creative. He will join the company in early 2027, succeeding Jon Cook.

Turnbull currently serves as Global CEO of McCann. Before that he spent 12 years at FCB, holding leadership roles in Canada, North America and globally. WPP described him as a leader with a record of transforming agencies, building client partnerships and driving both creative and commercial growth.

As CEO of WPP Creative he will bring together WPP’s creative agencies and connect them more closely with the group’s media, data, production, commerce and technology capabilities. The company has said WPP Creative will use the WPP Open AI platform to make the full offering simpler for clients to access.

Cindy Rose, CEO of WPP, said: “Tyler is a world-class leader with the ambition, global perspective and creative conviction to lead the next chapter of WPP Creative. His appointment reflects our determination to bring together the very best of WPP for our clients, put creativity at the centre of growth and set a new standard for the industry.”

Turnbull said his ambition is to create an offering that is “connected enough to bring WPP’s full strength to every client, distinctive enough to protect the unique magic and cultures of our iconic brands, and extraordinary enough to nurture the industry’s most creative talent.”
